Exemplar com falhas superficiais de pele e etiqueta de cota na lombada. Vai autenticado com assinatura manuscrita do autor, datada de 8 de Março de 1746, no verso da quinta folha. Carimbos oleográficos no verso das pastas. Este álbum apresenta os códigos e sinais náuticos gerais, utilizados pela frota holandesa, tanto na navegação como na ancoragem, de dia e de noite; e também em tempo de batalha. Inclui o significado de cada sinal, e notas bibliográficas que remetem para livros náuticos holandeses e ingleses. Inclui ao final um apêndice («Aanhangzel Voor Particuliere Zeinen») de 6 folhas com 12 barcos por sinalizar, para anotações pessoais, embora nenhum tenha sido utilizado. This work presents the general nautical codes and signals used by the Dutch fleet, both in navigation and at anchor, by day and by night; and also in time of battle. It includes the meaning of each signal, and bibliographical notes that refer to Dutch and English nautical books.
