After producing terrestrial models for the Berlin Newspaper Allgemeine Zeitung for several years, He was well known for his skill in producing Globes with astounding details. Peter Ostergaard decided to opened his own Globe shop. Paul Ostergaard, his nephew joined though left after disagreements and opened his own Globe enterprise, the Columbus Verlag. Surviving World War 1 and 2, the company expanded with a second location in Stuttgart and is still manufacturing globes to this day. Peter Ostergaard was succeeded by his son Dr. Peter Ostergaard JR, who re-named the Globe business the Drei Kegel Verlag. However, due to Dr. Peter Ostergaard early death during WW2, the family business ceased to exist. High: 140 cm. Diameter: 47 cm
